New Matchbox toys book

Post by nickjones »

Woohoo.
Your truly has just been approached by Shire books (Osprey publishing) re writing and illustrating a 64 page book on Matchbox toys, It won't be the in depth anoraks guide to wheel tread counts and shade variations but a general about Matchbox toys book, I will let you know more as I find out more about it.

Great News Nick,

But how can you possibly cram all the history of Matchbox into a 64 page book?

Surely it will be bigger once you take into consideration the illustrations/Photographs that buyers would also expect to see.

Congrats Nick ! Sounds very promising and I'm sure it will be a project you enjoy.
Perhaps it will lead to further publications down the road.

I hope you enjoy your experience. It is fun to go into the book store and see a book with your name on it.

Well done Nick. That'll be a tough job condensing everything down to such a small number of pages! Will you stick to just RW's or do you have to cover everything?

I hope that at least one of your 64 pages will be a resources guide where you can put in links to the Variations Guide and this forum - plus all the many other valuable online sites in the Quicklinks section.
