I guess this was taken at Christmas 1968 or 69, from the left my sister Mandy, brother Eddie, me, and my dearly departed sister Julie who worked for Lesney, Just behind Julie is my Matchbox motorway.

Always nice to see old pictures that you almost forgot about (at least that is often the case with me). Along with sorting out old photographs and scanning them I am also digitizing my old Sony Video8 tapes (approx. 30). My old Video8 equipment did not work anymore. Collected too much dust probably over the years, but a few weeks ago I could lay my hands on a professional Video8 player/recorder for a reasonable price. It plays the old tapes perfectly to record on a harddisk. I came along quite a few video's with old campers and cars on it. Also some of the motorhome misfortunes I described before were caught on tape. I don't know if I want to be remembered of these occasions haha.
My next post will be the last one on my motorhome adventures, and no, my misfortune has not ended yet.......
Below is a picture I think from the mid eighties with some of my posessions at the time. When I saw this picture again I thought it would make a great jigsaw puzzle.....

Re: Show us all your old real cars and vans..
Thanks Hans. Yes quite fun to ride and I seem to draw a lot of attention from folks, when I am out and about on it...and I'm not someone who likes to draw attention to myself ..but have gotten used to it.)Hans wrote:Great piece of engineering zBret, that bike of yours. It must be fun to ride. I have an electric bike myself and know how comfortable they are to ride.
Would you fancy to pull one of these ? I suppose the black thing in the middle of your photo is the 24v battery ?
I like the caravan. My next home may be one of those!
Yes the battery is in the middle. It's what is known as a "frog battery" . It's on locking slide mount (though i never remove it)
Can be flipped around and mounted on the seat post or in the frame as I have it. Its a nice setup and has a place for the controller in there too.

Thank you for sharing.

Re: Show us all your old real cars and vans..
Here's the last episode of of the tale of all my owned motorhomes. After having sold my Knaus motorhome with a dislike of Kent, I got a 2003 Fiat with Elnagh body.
This one served us without a problem. But you may have noticed that over the years the motorhomes had gone bigger and bigger. This one was 6,8m long. It was very difficult to park. We actually were fined one day in Alresford near Winchester for parking outside the parking bay. But the final hint that told me I had gone too big was the moment that I reversed the car into a metal pole just in front of my house, actually the day before we were going on holiday (a dejavue for us). The rear end was badly damaged, as it was all plastic, and it was temporarily fixed by lots of ducktape. After it was repaired profesionally, I decided to trade in the motorhome for a much smaller one : a2005 Hymer Exsis SG (only 5,45m long). That is the one I currently own, and I had to promise the wife that this would be last one, which I did. But then again, I did promise that before.....
My next series of posts here will be about all the cars and oldtimers I have owned. I just have to trace some lod photo's.
