Thank you to the Postal Service

Post by Jeff »

It's often easy to be critical of postal services, but this parcel was addressed to the wrong country, and still found me!

How funny. Obviously Australia Post are quite efficient...

I'm finding NZ Post incredibly slow at the moment - 3 delivery days to get from downtown Wellington to my place 5km away seems the norm. Add at least another day if it's from anywhere else in NZ. Will be hopeless when they drop back to 3 days a week delivery. Given how cheap couriers are, they will go under if they're not careful!

Anyway, I hope something nice was in the package Jeff :)

Cheers,
Gavin

I used to work for Royal Mail and we used to get a fair bit of mail which was intended for St. Kilda in Australia rather than our St Kilda. I have to say that the vast majority of posties I've come across would make the extra effort to ensure things would get to the right place, you get to see a huge amount of stuff that just makes you wonder 'What was the sender thinking????'
