cant recall reasons given for chemical reaction as opposed to sun fade and it would probably take me an age to retrace my steps to find out and i have to leave to go to work.

done loads of srfing but not coming up with anything re Chipperfields fading.Seen some make reference to chemical reaction causing colour change in some diecasts that seems more likely and would probably explain why fade affect is allover rather than one side as you would expect from sunlight.
