Re: Superfast Casting # 38

Very nice Stingeroo Choppers from Familybucket and Reg.. I love those handlebar variations. Well done one the chrome ones, Reg... you were a lucky sod to find that for 75p! :D I always liked the chrome/silver 'bars, wish Lesney hadn't discontinued them so soon. Anyone else notice the "Liedo&quo...

Re: Jumbo the Elephant

Just brilliant, Wolfie! Such a sweet little thing! Really amazing to see it in such good condition and still in working order. They say an elephant never forgets, this one hasn’t forgotten how to walk – yet! Long may its trumpeting call bellow through the rainforest!!

;) Cheers, Ken

Re: Some resin prepros I like

Great stuff... thanks for sharing, Tom! I've never seen so many resin pre-pros under one roof. I especially like the white and green 'Polizei' car, it looks the business!

Cheers,
Ken

Re: Matchbox Carry Cases, 1971 Editions.

Ken, Thank you for a very useful post. I have many of the 24 and the 48 cases but due to lack of space I have them stacked on top of each other. My question is you said that there should not be any stress on the box so would mine be suffering if I have them on top of each other. They are all full. ...

Re: Matchbox Carry Cases, 1971 Editions.

I was in touch with an artist who drew many of the early superfast illustrations who was now living in Gibraltar, Soon after making contact I had a hard drive crash and I lost practically everything including his email address. :( Really amazing to hear that, Nick! It’s a pity the artist’s contact ...

Re: Did this car inspire the Soopa Coopa?

Thanks everyone, for your thoughts and opinions! No doubt Mr. Barras was extremely talented, and a dab hand at the actual mechanics of customising. To me, the Coopa would be a clever way of Lesney circumventing the patent/copyright issues involved in adapting the custom.. hence they only used one or...

Re: Matchbox Carry Cases, 1971 Editions.

One bit you forgot to mention is when the handle breaks off and the metal clasp turns rusty and the case is not fit for display don't throw it out, The picture is just a printed sheet so cut the vinyl case open and remove the illustration and frame it, I have seen several that have been removed and...

Re: 27 lambo,orange interior...

Brilliant array of Lambos, Mathias. They look like a freshly made batch waiting to be 'boxed' at the factory! Also, thanks for showing all the different variations, a real eye-opener! Great to see more shots of the exposed engines! As you refer to them as "yellow", and they're iden...

Interesting Alpine cheese, Mike! I might try some.. how does it compare to Emmental?

And of course, our very own Matchbox 'Milkmaid' in the background... nice one! :D

Cheers (and cheese) to you + Nico,
Ken
