Re: slip of paper in the box
Found this little slip of paper inside the box of a 28c Jaguar. DSC00085.JPG I like these little contemporary additions. :P
I saw this post and noticed the slip of paper is addressed in Ontario Canada. In all my years of collecting (in Ontario) I haven't seen t...

Re: Some advice regarding Dinky toys

Coming in late on this, but I agree that they look original, and very nice. Surprising (and lucky) that they do not show significant signs of metal fatigue. Beautiful and very sought after toys...congrats! Most Dinky collectors would be very proud to have these. Thanks for sharing the photos with us...

Re: High price for this today.

It's a beauty for sure. I have the 'common' green/grey version and it one of my favorite castings. But...8200 GBP is almost $15,000 CAD!

Re: How to clean?

I also use warm water, apply some liquid soap to a soft toothbrush and lightly scrub the entire toy. I generally avoid all decals and brush very lightly on silver painted trim parts. I use compressed air to remove all water from crevices and axels/wheels.If the paint has small blemishes or light scr...

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions

Abby Concert and Recietal 2010 014.jpg Yes Dave, they are not terribly rare here in Canada. I have found 4 of them locally over the years, including this near-mint boxed beauty. I also know other collectors here in Canada that have found multiples. I do not believe the story that there were only 50...

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions

That is a beautiful collection of Dinky aircraft. Now you need a nice 749 Avro Vulcan to compliment your collection!

Thanks for sharing!

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions

Nice score on the Weetabix Guy van. I really like the Tekno tractor too. I have a couple of the vintage Tekno toys around here, but generally they are very hard to find in Canada.

Congrats on all your finds!
