Re: Kwackers - sad news
Hi everyone, this is Dick's youngest son Steven. I had a lucky guess at his login information. I'm sorry in advance as this is going to be a very long and emotional post. First and foremost I want to thank you all on behalf of the Kwak family for the lovely responses and good things to say about dad...

Re: All sorts Mainly Regular Wheels
OOPS! I suddenly realize you are not Sierra and you DO HAVE A PRIMARY LESNEY COLLECTING interest Sebastian......Oh Shute....... The good part is that I do have lots of Lesney RW boxed store stock, the bad part is that this rare Tanker IS part of your own collection so probably is not for sale or tra...

Re: 16b Atlantic with gpw finally added to collection
These Two GPW Lesneys make up a very handsome and RARE pair Nigel. Two awesome variations indeed. I have yet to replace my 16B GPW orange Atlantic Trailer, but Thanks to the kindness of a fellow Forum member here, we now have a replacement 15B GPW Tractor on our display shelves. I am not troubled at...

Re: All sorts Mainly Regular Wheels
The 25C Bedford Petrol Tanker you have picked up in this lot is the uncommon silver mask painted grill type that was an early variation of this model. When the cab is flipped up on this model with this silver grill, a very lucky Lesney collector may even find that the rear cab wall is the VERY EARLY...

Re: RW27c Error.
I have never seen this long of an axle fitted to an early Regular Wheel model, so I love it! The rear axles were always held into this Caddy body without riveting, but both of your axles have the same "Patina" (Aged look on them, never "shined up"), so it looks to have originally...

I would agree totally if that base is still tight because I am an avid "Error" collector myself! Kwakers

Re: Recent finds
I am unsure of the rarity of that Crane with narrow BPW, but if Stannard missed recording it, it could be a very HTF early variation that I have never seen or even knew of until Diecast Antonin's recent post on it. The open Toe Refuse Truck is one I had to buy out of Canada back in 2011 because I ha...

Re: My Morestones and Budgies
Thank You for these pictures Dr. Jeep! I have always enjoyed picking up a few Budgies when they are loose at Toy Shows today because I had bought a few brand new in the 60s to display with our early Lesneys. The Austin Healey 3000 has always been my favorite full size British Sports car, but I have ...

Re: Toy fair news
Very nice example of a factory Ferrari with a very poorly done axle end Dr. Jeep, making yet another point to we collectors. If we were to buy a rare wheel variation with both axle ends like yours shown here, we ourselves would always question whether that model left the Lesney factory with those ra...

Re: Toy fair news
Hello John and all! That red Ferrari looks very nice to me with everything as it should be. Axle end quality was never perfect at Lesney, but the body Colour is the key to the rarity on this one. The base rivets are nice on it, looking quite proper, so I can see no problem with your model at all. We...
