Yes LUFF. I detest those MS updates ... they wipe files off my computer ... including files for my printer so I can't troubleshoot it.
I always postpone them where possible. I even went into settings to stop them being added but they still did.
Hopefully going back to XP or 7 ASAP.

Re: What's happened to the forum?
Thanks Idris for the update. I was going to suggest that all posts from 3rd March be deteted (with notice given to back up a thread if need be), but from what you have said, that isn't going to work because if the host has changed a piece of code, that problem could be anywhere. Might it be the chan...

Re: What's happened to the forum?
So, what is actually the problem here? Most forums are built on a hosting platform ... in which case THEY should be sorting things out for the user. Some forums can be tweaked by the user ... in which case the user has tweaked beyond the platform capabilities. Not that I know owt about the technical...

Re: Mini-Marx Truck and Trailers
There are a few later uses for the Mini Marx trucks but in plastic and with glazing added. The coupling however is changed with the pin now being on the tractor unit fitting into a hole in the trailer. Bachmann did some HO / OO accessory packs (one of which being the Van Lines example below) and Air...

Yes, but after one photo, the buttons get hidden.
I want to post about a dozen.

Re: AJR's Customs
Using a Dinky 948 GMC tractor unit I had lying about, I decided it would be a candidate for upgrading to the "Cannonball" from the 1958 ITC TV series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umvbqPUMoKg The casting isn't bad for its age but could do with improving a bit. The Dinky McLean trailer i...

Re: What's happened to the forum?
Thanks for the update Ghosthunter.
Hopefully the forum can be saved.
I'll give the quick fix a try ...
Hmm, text posts work but can't add photos.
Will have to wait for a full fix to post fully.

Re: Oldsmobile
The 1961 Oldsmobile Super 88's were released by Corgi in 1962 as a black and white Sheriff's car (#237) and a metallic mauve and white or a pale blue and white civilian car (#235), both with red interiors. There was also a drab green US Army Staff Car (#358) added in 1964 to squeeze some extra milea...

Russian BM-27 Missile Launcher (1:72 scale)
Apparently distributed by Eaglemoss and stuck to the front of a magazine. My local discount shop had a couple of these Russian missile launchers in stock for £1 each. However, one was loose with a missing door mirror so got it for just 50p. I initially bought them to rob the tyres but are actually t...
