DSCN8669-001.JPG DSCN8668-001.JPG New it is listed as D1 or D2, but on the "C" boxes it is the same but not listed as C1 and C2? Also the model shown on the boxes is quite different, one shows a solid colour and the other shows a two tone model? George T. George, it all depends on which l...

Re: Some advice regarding Dinky toys
Looks like you have some of the earliest Dinky Toys vans......
Two-piece lead castings, with solid wheels (without rubber tires) are dated between 1933 and 1935 - and they are all extremely rare.
You really found a treasure trove!!

Re: More on the 16C Scammell Snow Plow
Greg,
you were faster than me - I had exactly the same thoughts!
My version of the model has just one small dent in the lower right step - for me it is a sign of wear to the tools.
Here are some prictures :

Re: K94 Airport Fire Tender (never released)
I have asked the German owner of the K-94 prepros for his admission to showing his versions here at the VBD board, and he agreed! So here's the gallery of the ones he has so far - there are still 6 of his variations missing, as he has not yet taken pictures of all the models. Enjoy..... Kay SK-94-MA...

Re: K94 Airport Fire Tender (never released)
A member ofthe german Matchboxmania forum seems to have quite a lot of versions of this prepro model - he states he has 20 different ones in his collection, and he shows pictures of 14 different ones in the forum (12 complete ones, and two painted body castings)! But he did not buy the last one auct...

Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
Here's a great site about all you need to know about Dinky Toys TV cars:
https://dinkytvspace.com/
Not just tons of Info about the toys and their variations, but also stories about the different TV series, and the original models and props behind the toys!
it's just phantastic!

Re: Mattel Landy Travels Update.
My last information is that it finally went back to the Mattel/Matchbox headquarters in El Segundo, where it should still be.
They wanted to decide about what to do with it....but that info is already a couple of years old......haven't heard anything since.
