I am just new to this but have inherited some cool Matchbox :) I have an orange number 15! I don't know what variation this is - I will get a photo on asap. Is that a Prime Mover? What is a Prime Mover?

I also have number 11 :)

I see that each number of matchbox can have several variations - how do you know what variation you have? Is there is place to find?

I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm really enjoying this new hobby :)

Brilliant, I love it even more. Knowing the detail is part of the fun, I think.

I can confirm that the wheels are metal and of course it is a short stem.
