No actually. It might not come out well in pictures and depending on computer screen settings but the shade of silver is exactly the same on both models.
For what it's worth, a few pictures of the models next to each other. The subject of this thread is the brighter orange, the darker, deeper orange is a model i already had and much what we all expect as standard. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m530/Jan_Hauck/30379D41-4CAA-49CA-8956-550C44027D28...
Thank you for the replies. It seems like I haven't been burned as often as 90% of the collectors in this forum because I don't tend to be as suspicious. For the handful of dollars that this model is going to cost there is really no fooling collectors and a massive profit margin. Malicious intent? It...
Looks to me like the black paint is just scratched off a bit. Well...as I said, I put a bid on it anyway and not a high bid at all so if and when I win the auction and have the model in hand, I might follow up on this thread again but as it stands, the verdict seems to be sunfade. Oh well. Scat happ...
A local auction caught my eye and I put a bid on it, as high as I'm prepared to go for a model in this condition. However, my interest was sparked by this (in my eyes) unusually bright yellow orange jib colour, so I wanted to see what you think. 1. pictures too bright, not showing the true colour? 2...
Thanks for the link. So that means my Berlinetta fits into the bottom right, second to last, while most other examples posted here, including Nick's page, are much more like the pale blue. Do we need a new code description for that (see shade in my "shelf" picture)? This has become a reall...
You're quite right and I've struggled to photograph it too. It never wants to come out right. In my opinion the best result I have achieved so far is this picture. The Berlinetta in question sits below the light blue Iso Grifo, behind the dark green and standard green variations and in front of the ...
You're right, it all depends on the picture. The Ferrari I'm showing here had only one photo in the auction. This is the original auction photo and I decided to take a chance. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m530/Jan_Hauck/D13FEDBD-38BB-4D8B-831A-D96F765A0FD2_zpsdp37yzaf.png Of course I also hav...
I think I haven't shown the nice shade variation yet that I got some months ago for just about ten dollars. The car in question is on the right hand side in both pictures and I would be inclined to say it's the harder to find blue green variation. The standard green is for colour contrast to highlig...
