Re: suspicious red Mustang
OK - let's get the uncomfortable admission out of the way. I purchased the Mustang (without the benefit of seeing this thread) and it is, indeed, an "enhanced" model. While the paint is heavy handed and other signs are fairly plain, I am at a loss to see how the base was removed to replace...

Re: Open Letter to Non-Posters
Like many, it is a question of carving out the time. I'll admit that I usually turn to this group only with questions/problems, because I know that I can count on getting solid G2 for my inquiries. I'm only now getting to the point where I would even feel comfortable trying to add to the conversatio...

Re: My 1-75 RW Collection
Thanks everyone for the nice comments - I am very happy with the way it has come together. On the main display case, we had it made by a friend who is a cabinet maker - there are also LED lights behind the white panels to backlight the display. He did an amazing job, although I do wish the door fram...

First - the change looks fine.
Second, I've *always* had trouble seeing this as "orangey red" - mine has always looked plain 'ol red...

Re: My 1-75 RW Collection
Thanks for the interest in my little endeavor...here are some better pix. There are gaps waiting for 5D in "Baron of Beef" livery, orange 8E, reverse wrecker 13D (one can hope, right?), 32C in "Aral" livery, and the aforementioned 15B. 20170204_MainCase_LeftUpper(small).JPG 20170...

Re: My 1-75 RW Collection
Yes - these were taken with the phone - I'll get out the DSLR and open the doors! I feel fortunate to have acquired some pretty decent HTFs - the bigger story is the very accommodating spouse  Great to see other people's collections. I think you are going to have to open those doors for photos ...

My 1-75 RW Collection
My intent has been to have an exemplar of each 1-75 RW plus what I consider to be "essential" variants (green 43A, red 75B, etc.). Total holdings up to about 330 - very close to completion with the only missing exemplar being the 15B. Pardon the reflections - i should have used a non-glare...

Re: New additions to Kurt's Garage
The flash definitely helped it out...a bit playworn along the roof and the "A" pillar is a bit bent...motorman wrote:A very clean looking example.
