Re: Not bad for £2

Great scores! Here in the States; I've seen maybe two Regular Wheel models, and no more then ten Superfast at flea markets and "junk shops" (not counting antique stores; which we really don't have more than one or two). I saved a piece of clam packaging for a power tool that should be real...

Re: Promo Corgi Majors Holmes Wrecker

A relative of mine started his towing company 15 years ago with a Holmes 500 (actually, a 600 I think) on a Chevy C60. Very powerful, despite only being like a 10 Ton wrecker. These all-mechanical Holmes have pulling power unmatched by modern hydraulic wreckers, which means towing companies even tod...

Dinky Record-Breaking Set

I've been here for years, just not active. This popped up on OFAS recently. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Dinky-Toys-MIB-Nostalgic-Race-Speed-Record-Cars-Gift-Set-No-23-/292625187881?_trksid=p5731.m3795 s-l1600drs.jpg In my opinion, the seller is trying to intentionally mislead someone. They say ...

Re: Eggo Model A

Looks sharp! I'm familiar with the Kellog's cereal set, but I can't recall if there was an Eggo one or not--my set is in storage at present. The Model A and Model T vans are castings I really have been taking an interest in. I had a Toy Fair Model A for quite a few years, and after inheriting the Ke...

Re: Joel Campsa Tankers from Spain

Nice looking tankers! Joal closed two or three years ago, unfortunately. At least what they have isn't that expensive on the secondary market. My list is full of various pieces of construction and farm machinery they produced.

Re: 25 car Superfast Lot

The antique cars are made by High Speed, and were originally sold with the Reader's Digest Condensed Books--I think they came free when you bought one of the books. I got most of mine that way as my grandparents bought the books. A few have came from the flea market since then.

Very nice lot!

Neat little set! Looks like a copy of a Marx tinplate set to me.

Re: daz28s entire BRITAINS collection

And a really great start at that! I like that police motorcycle. Now, you've got me wanting one of these.

All my "Britains" are Ertl Britains--the only one I've got that's actually got Britains on it is a 1/32 Bobcat Skid Loader.

Repro French Citroen liftgate?

I'm considering buying the French made Citroen ID 19 ambulance for $5--problem is, it's missing the upper part of the rear liftgate and a beacon. I searched for reproduction parts and the only repro upper lift gate I found was white metal--not plastic like on the original. Does anyone reproduce the ...

Midgetoy Ambulance.

At one time, there was an antiques dealer selling on Amazon who was often listing moderately playworn diecast for around $5 shipped. I got a Lesney Drott Excavator (minus treads, which I replaced with ones from the Snow Tracker model) and this Midgetoy ambulance. I have no idea what this thing's sup...
