The Bedford end tipper was first produced in 1948, so any reference to pre-war hubs is a bit of a red herring. It is not uncommon to find smooth hubs and also a mixture of smooth hubs and ridged hubs on post war Dinky models. The yellow with blue back versions of this tipper were produced much later...
