Prototype YS-43 Busch Self Propelled Fire Engine

This is an original “MATCHBOX” Pre-Production Models of Yesteryear YS-43 1905 Busch Self Propelled Fire Engine. Another prototype from the consignment collection we took in. This model is hand-made and probably was created early during the design process. The differences between the pre-production p...

Re: Matchboxes in other boxes

Nice Major Matt Mason stuff. I saved those in boxes from my childhood and have them on display on a shelf across from my Regular Wheels.

Re: Ebay fees for you and Me

Oddly enough, they only report to the IRS if you sell over $20,000.00 net total in receipts or have over 200 sales. Even more strange is that my wife can have 199 sales and I can have 199 sales and they do no reporting. That's the rules for USA sales only. The only good thing about the sales tax is...

Re: Ebay fees for you and Me

I know its just the way life is but it is crazy now that most of the states now tax the buyers on the items sold on eBay, then a 1099 is generated for the seller and they are required to pay taxes on those earnings as well.

Re: Checking up on a deal I was offered

I sold two mint sets at a Toy Show for $25 USD each last February. Theses sets are very hard to sell and even harder to ship. No one wants to pay the shipping costs.

Is the white wall version a pre-production? I have never seen one before.

Re: Ebay international shipping rates go through the roof.

The USPS has raised domestic shipping rates temporarily for Christmas. This is crazy and has been documented elsewhere. My partner told me about it. She is usually more on top of these government things than I.

Thank you for showing. This is one I never knew existed. I wish there were more color changes in the Dinky collection and even though only five were made this is good to see.

Re: Gift Set Insert Repair

As 3d printing becomes more available I suspect that new inserts could be created, and would be viewed as "reproductions" just to be a placeholder in the cardboard box for the enjoyment of the collector.

Re: Classic Super Kings Muscle Cars from Yesteryear toolings

At the 2021 line preview we were told that there will be a new Matchbox website and they will be selling upgranded miniatures on "environmental" bases, i.e. kind of like a diorama. We will have to see how that comes to pass....
