Re: Vectis yesterday.

I quickly lost interest in the Caddy and the Roller. The prices for some models remain extremely strong. There's at least two very determined bidders out there.

Re: What's happened to the forum?

[quote="AJR"]So, what is actually the problem here? Most forums are built on a hosting platform ... in which case THEY should be sorting things out for the user. Some forums can be tweaked by the user ... in which case the user has tweaked beyond the platform capabilities. Not that I know ...

Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.

Presumably the number on the canopy is the other way round because the canopy was reversed in the tampo printing process.

Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.

That's a super model Bob, I should have been quicker off the mark but a lot of my money is now sitting in the account of a Northern auction house.

Those wheels wouldn't look out of place on the green Joseph Lucas model.

Re: Code 2 2006 "50th Ann. MOY" First Series repainted in go

Fantastic to see the complete set of these Charlie. The first I knew about them was in The Ricardo Cortes-Monroy IV Collection - Part Two auction. I had hoped to get all of them but the average net price was over £140 (the guide price was £80) so I was only able to get the Y2 London Bus, Y3 London T...

Re: Code 2s and MOY" First Series repainted in gold.

Whilst I'm happy for you to share your views on the Code 2 topic in general I don't think this is the appropriate place and in my view this post has now pretty much lost its purpose. Which is a shame, as I thought this would be a place to celebrate these models, not denigrate them. But maybe I'm th...

Re: Code 2s and MOY" First Series repainted in gold.

Collecting is always governed by ones personal preferences, likes and dislikes. There is no right or wrong method.  I've never been a fan of so called Code II models and I'll try to very briefly explain my thoughts on that subject. In reality, there is no difference between a Code II and a Code III...
