Re: A tangent to vinyl toys
Land-Rover wise, I have only seen Tomte, LKE (which is more plastic), VinylLine, Miracle Mart, & MiniFlex. Plasto if one wants to count the Range Rover. Curious if you have seen any others.

Re: A tangent to vinyl toys
I have seen that site. These vinyl toys are a whole different, albeit interesting, tangent. So colourful. The vinyl toys seem to be fairly well documented. A bit interesting that some makes are, and others very poorly covered. All a matter of interest.

Re: How many people post here?
We have to remember and accept the fact this forum is not the only outlet for collectors of vintage diecast toys and models but can still hold its head up high as a very informative internet based site and is used as a main reference source by many facebook posters. At some point people will slowly...

Re: Copies of Matchbox 12a
Hope these Land Rover 12A copy photos from my collection work. Oh my, I am very impressed! In a sense, it is depressing to know the wealth of them out there as my eBay searches have turned up essentially nothing for years. What is more depressing is the closed US/Canada border means my 1:1 scale Ro...

Re: Copies of Matchbox 12a
A question on “Polythene Miniatures”. Did they ever make a copy of the Land-Rover 12a or 12b? I’ve been searching, and while found many other copies of Matchbox models, not that one yet. It is possible I’m just unlucky too.
Thank you,
Dixon

Re: Copies of Matchbox 12a
Well, not exactly 12A, but an Anguplas popped up and has been added to the collection. Now for the mobile chapel from the same manufacturer.

Re: How many people post here?
And we, diecast collectors are older and older. Very few younger people are interested in model car. They even often haven't play with some in their childhood. An ephemeral childhood. One that is Facebook, SnapChat and other such things. Sad. Brave New World with Facebook and social media replacing...

Re: WHAT ELSE DO YOU COLLECT
Hi all, often wondered what else some of our matchbox mates collect. Well, if one is to have a 1:76 scale Land-Rover (12A), one might as well have a 1:1 scale to compare it to. Have four in fact. 1950, two 1951's and a 1952. One 1951 is on the road and driving about, the others are projects. Well, ...

Re: A tangent to vinyl toys
Found a couple unknowns while trolling eBay and various sites - The first is a Series II 109 pick-up. Looks to be a copy of the Vinyl Line version from the similar bonnet mounted spate, though it lacks the detail of the original. The dash vents are also completely recessed. The details that a long t...
