Hi all Some people just have all the luck in finding rare models......our friend Mr Jonkers (aka lesney12345 on Ebay) has yet another SF 8 wheel crane in red with an orange boom along with sevaral RW models with rare wheels. He sold one in November and now has another one..... Could just be a coinci...

Many of us collectors are happy to have non-mint models in our collections until such point we can replace with a better one - I take the same view with boxes in that a repro box will fill the gap until I can get an original and it also protects the model from any further damage. I understand differ...

Well.....one purchaser must have satisfied themselves that this was worth £2000 hammer price plus the obligatory 20% + VAT commission, a grand total of £2480.

If you're referring to Mr Jonkers as lesney12345 on Ebay, looks like he's got some 'rarities' for sale again - notably a SF 8 wheel crane in red with an orange boom and 6 RW models with rare wheels.

Could just be a coincidence......

The location of the seller confirms this is definitely the same U.K. based Matchboxtom that has been the subject of many posts on the forum....the vast majority being less than complimentary !! Looking at the pictures of the labels on his EBay listing, both sides appear to have lots of almost parall...
