It is indeed the thicker cowcatcher. It will be a new set of decals on just one of the sides, though. The other side wasn't that bad, and I like the authenticity of it (since there is really no back or front on these, you could always turn it to either side, depending on what mood your in!).

Just found this little beauty on Swedish eBay, and got it for just under 8 pounds. It's my first (and probably last) open-stairs (they don't come up to often in Sweden).
However, it looks a bit dull on one side, so does anyone know where I can find new decals? They don't seem to be very common.

It’s a toy. However it does not have the new look as in the picture. A bit rusty and paintwear. Underneath it has old screws with a single slot (don’t know what you call them in England?).

The horse looks identical. It even has the "bullet-hole" in the forehead, as mine do (for some purpose?).
It was a hefty price on the firetruck! It has not been sold, though.
