Land Rover , new purchase

I picked this up on eBay thinking of a restoration candidate. When I opened the package, it looks too nice to touch. I will order a replacement driver and keep as is.

Teckno Vespa

This was in with a Lot I purchased on eBay. I didn't see it in the photos on the listing. The Vespa is in reasonable shape, but is missing half the handle bar. Does anyone know if there are 3D models to print new handle bars? I don't remember the Teckno line growing up in the 60's in the US.

Ford Zodiac No 53

A Ford Zodiac was mixed in with a lot I purchased. Its light metallic green, has the A cast into the tow bar. Is this a car that Mr. Darkens lists as rare in his book?

Re: E-Type candidates for restoration

I restored two of the E types. One in the color of 9600 HP. The photo of the three, my childhood E type is shown with the two painted. I used Humbrol enamels, thinned with spirits and sprayed in a syphon airbrush. Its a cheap $8 airbrush.

Re: Stripping paint

I am in the middle of a makeover of the M1 Petrol Tanker. The paint on the upper simply will not strip off. I have tried my Carburetor Cleaner, NAPA Airplane aerosol stripper, old fashioned paint stripper. My next step is to consider lye or caustic soda or sodium hydroxide by other names. I thought ...

KARRIER BANTAM COCA COLA , opinion on make over

I found a CocaCola truck. It was painted over at some point by a previous owner. The decales seem in reasonable condition. Is there a method to try and remove the added paint and hope to save the original? I have made replacement decales on a vinyl printer, and bought it thinking i would make over. ...

Re: 3D-printing

Please consider uploading the stl files to thingiverse. Someone uploaded the canvas top for the Alvis Stalwart , and it prints fine.

Re: Craft Paints in restorations

My success varies with color. Reds and whites thin easily with IPA and airbrush well. Blue has been problematic, it always seems to curdle for me, whether I thin with IPA or water.
