The latest- a Land Rover with scratchbuilt windows
Hi everyone- Here's a look at the latest, a 12c Land Rover in green. Not too special, except that I scratchbuilt the windows using some clear plastic packaging. The whole story is on my website. Sorry, no "before" photos... I THOUGHT I shot them, but I can't find them anywhere. Trust me, i...

Re: Craft Paints in restorations
Interesting subject... I've been researching craft paints on models for years now. I haven't really used them on my Matchboxes yet, though that may change sometime soon. In a nutshell, I've found that they work pretty good in a lot of cases, though maybe not every case. Really deep, rich, saturated ...

Re: To Restore
I agree with Bob, but for myself, I add one condition to the damaged/missing parts rule. If it's been kid-repainted, or "customized," as I used to tell myself when I was ten, then I don't think repainting and restoring is going to take away any value. My personal opinion is that no collect...

Re: Simple Storage Trays for Duplicates
Thanks, Joe, I hadn't thought about that. I'll give these a quick spray... there's a great water-based, no-smell, non-staining roach treatment that we have in the states that will probably keep them at bay. (I live at the beach where we have flying cockroaches as big as skateboards. This stuff has g...

Simple Storage Trays for Duplicates
Hi Everyone- I built some simple storage trays with dividers the other day to solve the problem of duplicates. I usually buy in small lots on eBay, and I always end up with duplicates. After years of just tossing them in a box, I wasn't sure what I had & what I didn't. I made four of these trays...

Re: #28d just finished
My next trick will HOPEFULLY be an entire replacement site hut, with walls, windows, the whole works. Not that big a deal on paper, but it remains to be seen if I can pull it off in practice.

Ghosthunter-
Thanks! I changed the link to the main website page, rather than the specific Mack Dumper page... maybe that'll work.
