Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
My latest addition just arrived this week. A 1886 BENZ Patent-Motorwagen by IXO CLC331N. The original has been widely regarded as the worlds first automobile. It had a belt drive system and achieved a high speed of around 10mph (16Km per hour). Model has a lot of detail and I am delighted to have it...

My latest addition, a Bugatti T35B. First appearing at the 1924 French Grand Prix, this model is of the 1928 developed version.

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
Another delightful model to add to my collection. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of detail on this model that is from the VITESSE stable. Although small, the detail shows the chain drive each side to the rear wheels and the chain drive for steering underneath. It is a 1/43 1899 Opel Paten...

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
http://i.imgur.com/WiSaPoF.jpg A new one to grace the display cabinet. This one is the Hispano Suize (Matchbox Yesteryear Y-17) From my research I think this is a K6 model although neither the underside of the model or box state this. I have doubts though as the model is stated as 1938 and the K6 w...

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
Hi, Another two Matchbox Yesteryear models added to the cabinet this morning. First is the Y2 - 4, a 1930 4.5Lt. Supercharged Bentley. Although the engine was not as large, in the 1930 Le Mans. it set a lap record of 6mins 48secs at a speed of 144.32mph beating the larger 7Lt Mercedes Benz. http://i...

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
Sorry my picture of the MG is a little blurred (or overexposed). But, you have both said, this a little favourite of mine too. Our personal lawyer had a full-size green model which I was a little envious of! :) He tells me it needs a bit of mechanical work now. Like the police version Ghosthunter. I...

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
My latest that just arrived today. The 1945 MG-TC is a Matchbox Yesteryear model Y-8. This little car was responsible for the sports car boom in the post-war era.

Re: WHAT ELSE DO YOU COLLECT
Hello all from New Zealand, I also have collected coins. As we have travelled a lot overseas, I would try to collect a set of coin currency in circulation at that time. Have some very old (1800s) NZ pennies (before decimal currency was introduced). I also have an extensive Thematic collection of Sta...

Yes, there are others in the range. They have a catalogue - you can start here where I have selected Hong Kong (There are other countries you can select) and flick through the pages of the catalogue. http://www.new-ray.com/html/products_catalog.php?id=1#imageid=70 Incidentally, regarding my Chevy, t...

Re: My collection of vintage vehicles
The scale is actually 1/32 but difference hardly noticeable in comparison to the 1/43 models in the cabinet. Certainly not as well finished as Matchbox models.
This is a photo under the bonnet.
