Broadwalk, Winchmore Hill.
Mr Smiths home for many years until his passing.
Now replaced with two smaller houses occupied by notable residents.
A great pity, it was a beautiful house.

The wall and the sign are from around 1970 when the East Cross Route bridge was built. They have managed to survive the 22 years since the Lee Conservancy Road factory was demolished. I took photo's of them a couple of years ago and spoke with Hackney Museum about them. If anybody is tempted to remo...
