Re: Tekno tinplate cars
They are manufactured by Tekno - under license from Schucokarl wrote:I just found a red one! It’s the GYRO version of the Tekno. They also made a MIRACO version. Do you know when these were made? The Tekno book says 1950-55? Looks like a copy of the Schuco Mirako car from post-war...

Re: Tekno lorries from the 50's 60's.
The Tekno DODGEs came in three sizes. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm12/kschnelle/tekno/TeknoVilmerDodgeall_zps3357ddfe.jpg The middle size was done by Tekno and Vilmer both - who copied who? No one knows. They are identical except for the name on the baseplate AND ONE EXTRA BRACE ON THE CHAS...

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
PA220001 kopi.jpg Found another place on the tractor with the name LLEDO, - on the front, here cast in the metal. I have never found the King models from this period particularly attractive. Perhaps most people think so ? and therefore not really mentioned anything about it before. But it might be ...

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
ok - Thanks for the discussion. I was just wondering that the initials are on a King model. AND I've never noticed it. I also have the big chopper from the King series, mentioned here, and have never seen it - Must be half blind, because it is shamefully clear on the model. I was actually writing ab...

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
then it is random that it is LLEDO, and thus has nothing to do with Odell. But very funny that it is the same initials .. As the chopper with ANGUS on the engine .. but it could be interesting to know what LLEDO means in this context

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
Ok two toys then... NO ! -- Odell stops he's daily work at Matchbox in 1973 --- And his interest area was veteran cars. I do not think he has been so involved in Super Kings .. They are too clumsy.

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
ok --- thanks -- Then the answer was just a repeat of what I had written. I can try to change the question. Could it be, that Odell, left Matchbox in 1972/73 to start up Lledo? not as a toy manufacturer, but as a manufacturer of parts for Matchbox ? and others maybe ? I have never seen questions abo...

Re: Matchbox - Lledo -- 1973 ! -- ?
PA210114.jpg Excuse me --- what does the IIRC mean ? --- I have not bought the model especially, but bought a bunch of cars a few years ago. It's quite accidental I saw that Lledo was on the engine to day --- on both sides of the model. Before anyone begins to claim I'm sending pictures of cheating...

Re: Cleaning/removing paint off of model...
remove overcoat --- use crystal soap. Thick soap on the model roughly. The model is packed into plastic foil ... When the paint is soft, when you rub the model, it's time to wash in lukewarm water with the washing brush ...it dont harm Plastic and rubber ...
