Corgi Rockets Aston Martin DBS factory error...
Hello all... I don’t even know how to ask this but does a ‘factory error’ really make something worth that much more?? I have a Corgi Rockets Aston Martin DBS (a recent eBay purchase) and one of the rear wheels is on the wrong way, it’s inside-out! Being a Corgi Rockets toy I don’t know if I can say...

Prototypes/Pre-Pro's and other stuff!
Hello to you all... I am a long time lurker and a massive fan of Matchbox as they were my toy of choice when I was much (much, much!) younger. A quick question (as there may be other threads relating to this) but I would like to garner any information on the Matchbox 'could have beens'...! I have se...

Re: Shades in SF Picture Boxes
I know it sounds like an odd comment but... Could colour variations in these (and other) boxes stem from how they were stored at the factory?! For example, if some pre-made boxes were sitting on the top of a pile ready to go they would have had more exposure to light prior to being made up for dispa...

Re: Triumph 2000 promotional colour values...
I always go by the rule that something is indeed only worth what someone is willing to pay of course...! I just thought I'd ask in case someone had sold one or seen one for sale somewhere. There is one on eBay right now which gives me a rough idea but having said that it is still on eBay so that may...

Re: K59A Ford Capri 11
What an amazing array of models!!!
I often wonder if this was made in conjunction with Ford at the development stages of the Capri II...?!
I only say that as the bonnet has elaborate detailing not found on the actual car and could of been a feature/idea Ford were toying with prior to launch.

Triumph 2000 promotional colour values...
Hello there. I was lucky enough to bag a black and white Dinky Toys Triumph 2000 (promotional colour made for Triumph dealerships so I hear) in a bundle I purchased recently, I was really chuffed! It's a good model, it's all there with nothing missing but it is in played with condition so it doesn't...

Matchbox 'King-Size' plastic tyres
Hello all. I have a few nicely used (the way I like them personally!) Matchbox 'King-Size' models and I have a question... The ones I have have the solid plastic tyres on plastic hubs and a few are really rather quite loose. The question I have is that is this down to the hub becoming worn or the ty...

Re: Cleaning/removing paint off of model...
Thanks for all your help and advice... It does seem that a soapy hot water soak (that sounds slightly ominous!) has done the job. I will have to work at the layer of rogue paint with a soft tooth brush so as to minimise the continued damage of the original paint underneath but I think it's going to ...

Re: Cleaning/removing paint off of model...
The 'paint' is relatively glossy and has been applied very thinly and very smoothly...
It can be picked of in tiny bits but not very easily!!!
I just wondered if a warm soapy water soak would do the job?! I doubt it of course but I am loathe to try anything stronger yet...
