great model Antoine and the star of that Vectis sale.
I have met Philippe many times and have seen his collection.
This was only a part of his enormous collection of modelcars.
He was very happy with the sale.

Very nice to have this paper with the model.
I once bought a Models of Yesteryear Y11-1 Aveling and it had a similar size paper inside to join the Matchbox Club.

I followed this auction live and made 16 bids but won only 1. This certainly was one of the best regular wheel collections I saw in person. I made a call to Philippe after the sale. I remmeter it was not well received that Ray went from a Matchbox magazine to a Lledo magazine.
All had to do with his connection with Jack Odell and probably he also want to write about a UK made product.

I'm wondering if they based the models on what castings they could find or source at that time? If they did, then they weren't trying very hard! A quick search on Ebay would have turned up multiple example of every single a-series model. eBay didn't exist in 1988 when the 1st ORIGINALS came out. Re...
