Re: Caught on Camera.

The Hillman Hawk has the look of the Ford Popular. But, while the Ford Popular (not produced until 1953) was a car purposely designed to look and be like used cars of its time, the Hillman 20, dating from the 1930s, would seem to be one of the genuine prototype used cars on which it was based. Thoug...

Re: Caught on Camera.

Nobody has pointed out yet that the ridges on the Jaguar radiator suggest that it is actually a Daimler.

Re: sf32-d Maserati Bora page ready

Not an error, and certainly not specific to this page. But it looks like most/all Superfast pages are currently, at least on initial load, dominated by the picture of the Pontiac Grand Prix. That is a little confusing especially if one is given an out-of-context direct link to the page. A little ext...

Nice real-life Matchbox scene, busses, ambulance

Copyright seems to apply, so I'll just direct you to this real-life 1968 London scene which I happened across while searching for other stuff. The ambulance especially stood out among the image gallery Google presented. If someone else deems it would be okay to inline the picture, go ahead. http://w...

Re: Nick´s 1:1 #5c

I am contemplating scale modelling of sorts, probably of an AEC Regent RT, and it would be useful to know the outside diameter of London bus tires. I've found it surprisingly difficult to web-search the specs for London bus wheels and tires, and I wondered if you would have any references, having de...

Re: Morris Minor 46a Seen While Bicycling in Southern Ontari

So today I added an attachment to get around the lack of photobucket pricing options. Perhaps I couldn't do that previously, or inline photobucket images used to allow better control, and e.g. option to link to a higher resolution picture. Or just my habit, I guess. I've left the photobucket link so...

Re: Sold without a box????

I remember the switch-over to blister packs around 1970, in Canada. I was sort of sad that I needed to buy my GT-40 without a box. (I bought a lot less than 75 models a year, remaining on a child's budget throught my teenage years, and did not keep up with new issues at all, but for whatever reason ...
