The number 3 Accesory pack was the one car lock up garage which was introduced in 1958, It was all die cast metal construction and consisted of the garage walls & floor or base which were painted yellow, The roof which was painted maroon and the two green painted doors. It had three windows on each side and came with an unpainted metal clip which could be used to join two garages together. The garage was in production for six years and there were several minor casting modifications made to it. It was packaged in either a 'B' or 'C' type box or the final issues were in a 'D' type box. It was not one of the most desirable of Lesney toys but mint and boxed examples are quite hard to find and do fetch a fair price, Playworn garages are usually found with the doors missing. It was deleted in 1964. |
